The Records, Culture and Human Resources Department is a fundamental tie that binds city departments and activities. We provide services that are responsive to the internal and external needs of the city.

It is our mission to support staff and community with needed resources to enhance the lives of those who live, work and play in the community.

The Records and Human Resources Division

The Records Division endures proper state and city compliance of public meetings and public records.

The Human Resources Division, under the general direction of the City Manager, provides for employee hiring and retention, compensation, training, and policy direction.  The division also coordinates the city's risk management efforts.

The Culture Division

The Culture Division creates, plans and manages programs for various segments of the Cottonwood Heights Community. Those events include Butlerville Days, holiday events and other celebrations sponsored by the City. To find out more about our events coordination, click here.

The Culture Manager with the assistance of the Culture Coordinator, organizes engaging cultural events to promote community interest, involvement, and education in the arts. Those events include a community orchestra, choir, and photography contests. The division oversees the Cottonwood Heights Historic Committee and the Cottonwood Heights Arts Council along with regular city-sponsored theatrical performances, such as the annual summer musical. To find out more about the City's Arts programs, click here.
