Cottonwood Heights Announces Reduced Splash Pad Schedule Amid Drought Conditions
Due to severe drought conditions affecting the region this year, Cottonwood Heights is encouraging all residents to help conserve water wherever possible. Water conservation remains a shared community responsibility, and even small efforts can make a meaningful difference in protecting this valuable resource for future generations.
As part of the City’s ongoing conservation efforts, the splash pad at Mountview Park will operate on a reduced schedule during the Summer 2026 season.
The splash pad will be open from Memorial Day through Labor Day on Saturdays, Sundays, and summer holidays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
By limiting splash pad operations to weekends and holidays, the City can significantly reduce municipal water usage while continuing to provide families with a fun and refreshing recreational amenity throughout the summer.
Cottonwood Heights appreciates the community’s understanding, cooperation, and continued commitment to responsible water use as we work together through this challenging drought season.
