Pinwheels for Hope: A Community United for Child Abuse Prevention
This past Saturday, Cottonwood Heights City Hall served as the backdrop for a meaningful community effort in recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month. More than 50 volunteers gathered to install over 3,000 blue Pinwheels for Hope, transforming the City Hall grounds into a powerful symbol of awareness, prevention, and hope for children.
In addition to the volunteer effort, the City hosted a ceremony reaffirming its ongoing resolution to support child abuse prevention initiatives. Attendees heard from respected community leaders, including Lori Cox, Dr. Bill Cosgrove, and McKay Robinson, who each emphasized the critical role communities play in protecting children and strengthening families.
The event also highlighted the important work of the Family Support Centers, whose programs provide direct support to families in need across our region.
Together, we can continue to raise awareness, support families, and build a stronger, safer Cottonwood Heights.
