UDOT recently adjusted the Little Cottonwood Canyon Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Wasatch Boulevard (S.R. 210) to focus on trailhead parking, avalanche mitigation and traffic congestion. UDOT and the Central Wasatch Commission (CWC) are beginning a concurrent, but separate Transportation Action Plan to address regional mobility by providing a prioritized list of actions for future improvements in both Cottonwood canyons

The study teams invite the public to provide comments on the transportation challenges and issues that matter to you in the Cottonwood Canyons area at a public open house on April 9 from 4-8 p.m. at Cottonwood Heights City Hall (2277 E. Bengal Boulevard Blvd.)

The official scoping period for the Little Cottonwood Canyon EIS runs from March 5 through May 3. For more info visit udot.utah.gov/cottonwoodcanyons
