Historic Committee Holds Annual Dinner
Posted on 11/01/2018

The Cottonwood Heights Historic Committee held its annual dinner on Oct. 2 at City Hall.

The committee meets once a year to review past projects and to share stories about a particular area in the Cottonwood Heights community.

This year, Committee Chair Max Evans and Co-Chair Gayle Conger outlined the early pioneer history of what was then called the Butler Valley at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. The area is currently populated by homes, the Cottonwood Corporate Center and the Old Mill.

The committee celebrated an impressive year in which they were able to publish the city’s first-ever history book, along with other collaborations.
