Carson’s Courage Cars

Cottonwood Heights residents Jim and Kathie Hawkins organized a charitable event on April 12 to honor Carson Cheney, a little boy who was killed in a tragic accident in 2012.

Neighbors were encouraged to buy Hot Wheels cars and leave them in places where other children could find them. The cars also had a card attached in memory of Carson.

Cottonwood Heights police got into the spirit of the day, donating hundreds of cars to schools in the city.

Thanks to the Hawkins for their efforts to bring joy to so many in our community.
