Capital Facilities Plan

IMPORTANT CAPITAL FACILITIES PLANS READY FOR PUBLIC REVIEW

A Transportation Capital Facilities Plan  is a study of the city’s infrastructure as it relates to roads.  The plan includes an inventory of the condition of all bridges, street lights, sidewalks, gutters, traffic signals and roadways.  It studies our street capacities, traffic calming requirements, truck and transit routes and condition of every road in the city. In addition, a separate storm water plan prepared by our City Engineer which analyzes the drainage capacity, demand and maintenance plan has also been prepared.

Capital Facilities Plan  is the first step in prioritizing how the city will keep its infrastructure in repair, as well as plan for future growth.  After the plans are adopted, a budget will follow, which will include the priorities for each budget cycle.
