Weed Abatement

At Cottonwood Heights, we understand that weeds can be a nuisance to everyone.  They can distract form the surrounding beauty of the neighborhood and even pose a fire hazard.  Cottonwood Heights does have a weed ordinance within the city limits.  We do our best to make note of violations and enforce this ordinance.  

We have many other ordinances that must also be enforced.  Everyday we must review numerous complaints about various issues.  Weeds are a serious concern of ours, sometimes these complaints must be reviewed after those that impose a more serious danger to the public.  Weeds on a vacant lot pose less of a fire hazard than those on an occupied lot. We appreciate your patience as we work through our citizen's concerns and make Cottonwood Heights a better place to live.
